Migraines and Panic Attacks? Birth control?

medication for panic attacks
Me asked:

I suffer from chonic migrains, sometimes 2-3 per pay. I have suffered these for about 3 years. Recently a friend of mine went on medication for anxiety/panic attacks and her migraines ceased. I have done alot of research on anxiety and panic attacks and I have most of the symptoms of panic attacks. Could this be what has been causing my migraines?

Also, a friend of mine at the hospital I work at claims that her Yasmin was causing hers. Is this possible? I have been on Yasmin, and now Yaz, for about 3+ years.

Professional help only please.

Pre-Heart Attack or Panic Attack?

panic heart attack symptoms
Pip asked:

I’ve been having what I thought were panic attacks lately ( I have not had confirmation from a doctor but from what I have read they have either been panic or anxiety attacks). Anyway, I found this in an answer to a heart attack question:

“A heart attack usually provokes shooting pain on the chest that extends to the LEFT arm and also shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, loss of consciousness and many more obvious symptoms”

My question is do you get sharp shooting pains in your chest, near heart area, for panic attacks? Or is that strictly a heart attack symptom? I feel that I am too young to have a heart attack, but I am pretty overbooked, thus overly stressed. I haven’t had an shooting pains in my left arm though, and I know that is a trademark for Heart Attacks. So does anyone know whats going on with me? Here are the symptoms I have had for reference:

-Chest Pain
-Shaking (Not always)
-Headache
-Dizziness/Nausea
-Trouble Breathing

Thank you for your help!

Have you ever suffered depression and/or panic attacks and felt like you’d never make it to your DR appt?

medication for panic attacks
Exhilarating, isn’t it? asked:

Because I am a “new patient” I couldnt get a doctor appointment any less than 3 months in advance. It seems like an eternity for someone who suffers panic attacks on a daily basis with no medication for relief. I feel like I wont make it or something! Anybody else have similar thoughts waiting for an appt?
