You need to see a real doctor. These people sound like quacks. Herbal medicine and accupuncture will not help. Make an appointment with a psychiatrist.

I have no idea what to say that would help you sleep/breathe easier. But, it does sound like you need a second option from a sleep therapist. You could have sleep apnea or something else like that. You’re losing oxygen as you lay down. Herbal medicine is great…. if it works. If it doesn’t work, something else has to be done immediately. Find a doctor, no matter what it takes, that will help you get better.

maybe if you slept on your side or with a couple more pillows so you are sorta sitting up.. (I work at a nursing home, and when our residents have trouble breathing that is what we do.) I mean no guarentee but it wouldn’t hurt to try. good luck.

I’d love to help but unfortunately I have no answers for you…
I have the opposite problem… I tend to get my panic attacks while I’m standing… in hot weather???
And, then I lay down and I’m fine!
Good luck though, they’re really scary. =(

Honey, do you snore? You need to leave the acupuncturist alone, they don’t need to practice on you, and a blood test is not showing anything. Never really heard of narrow lungs. I have been a Respiratory therapist for 21 years. Go to a Pulmonoligist/ Respiratory Doctor for your breathing problems. If you snore, you may have sleep apnea. Are you overweight? Have a thick neck? Make an appt.

It sounds as if you are in a country other than the United States of America. We wouldn’t handle panic attacks like that at all.
You need to learn to relax. The acupuncture MIGHT help but I’m not so sure. There are medicines that help you to relax but you have to learn how to handle it in your head unless you want to be taking medicine most or all of your life.
Look in the mirror and say to yourself that you are a happy relaxed person and that nothing bothers you. Write on paper why you need not be upset. Write why you are a strong, intelligent and reasonable person and that you no longer have stress in your life.
Try writing down the things that create stress for you then burn, rip up or in some way destroy that paper.
I hope this helps you because it is not healthy to have so much stress.
Take care.

You should have your thyroid examined. My friend had the same symptoms for two years. Her husband would rush her to the emergency room where they told her she was fine. Then she’d go home and it would start again. The first clue was that it was tied to her blood pressure (doctors should test your bp lying down and then sitting up). Then one time her thyroid tests gave back an unusual reading.
Turned out she had Hoshimoto syndrome. This was her thyroid going haywire on her. It is hard to diagnose. You have to have your thyroid tested several times over a period of time because it fluctuates — so it can appear normal, but will fluctuate and the doctors can catch it if they test often over time. It happens often to women with family histories of thyroid disease. Other symptoms that you may have but haven’t associated with your panic attacks are early graying of the hair, tiredness, hoarseness, weight changes, etc. Homeopathic medicine won’t help with this.

The only way your going to solve this problem is by exercising everyday. You could go for a long jog on a daily basis. Sooner or later, your lung is going to expand. Until then, use the medication as you need to. It is said that Vitamin A heals the lungs.
