medication for panic attacks

I have tried Klonipin, Abilify, Buspar, Lexapro, Neurotin, Zoloft, and the list goes on and on. Ideally I would like to take something that isn’t addictive like Xanex.

I’ve heard you can use beta blockers to help combat anxiety PRN but I don’t know about panic attacks. Sorry I couldn’t be of help there.

I took Paxil (I believe 1mg a day?) and the panic attacks/anxiety stopped as long as I took it. This did of course create a change in mood and maybe even personality.
After trusting in the Lord Jesus I have been completely healed of constant anxiety and panic attacks.

Fluoxetine, it’s a form of Prozac and it’s mainly used for Depression but I’m on it and it helps with Panic Attacks, Anxiety and Paranoia too.. It’s not able to buy over the counter but can be prescribed by your Doctor. If it is really bad, go and speak to a professional about it.. They’ll know the best thing to give you.

they say Ativan is used PRN, I took it but didnt feel to much from it. I had good benefit from daily zoloft. However I gained 30 pounds on zoloft. Now I am on Prozac and after 3 months of taking it, I FINALLY feel better. Still working on losing the zoloft weight though.

I dont want to get addicted to xanax or valium so I have never taken them. My dr prescribed a beta blocker for panic attacks, it is called clonodine. I havent had to take it yet so I cant say how it works.
