scgurljay asked:

my chest gets tight, i cant breath, cant talk, start sweating, start shaking. HELP ME I HATE THIS!!
public speaking triggers my attacks. When doing presentations in class, talking to my boss, reading aloud to people, just anytime there are more than 2 or 3 people that are listening to what i am saying.

Beleive in yourself and belive in God. Don’t expect from other. Only be yourself. You will get rid of anxiety attacks.

Repeat to yourself that even if things do not work out now it is not the end of the world for you. Ther are many people in different professions making good money and leading decent lives.

close your eyes and think of something relaxing. try and take a slow deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth. visualize your muscles relaxing and all you anxiety leaving with your breath as you exhale. don’t worry so much hun!

Anxiety attacks are a panic/fear reaction which are usually triggered by an external stimulus but not always. They are an extreme version of the flight or fight response to perceived danger (ie. your heart rate increases, more adrenalin is produced, your muscles tense and prepare for action). They are an extreme version of your body trying to get you out of a situation it perceives to be dangerous.

The difference between normal anxiety and an anxiety attack is that an anxiety attack is an over-the-top and maybe not helpful response because it stops the person from being able to do anything at all.

Some of the things you could do to try and ease an anxiety attack would be:

    1. See if there is something/anything in particular bothering you and what if anything you can do about it.
    2. See if there is a common cause triggering these panic attacks, ie. small spaces, dogs, person of the opposite sex, teachers or authority figures???
    3. Try some deep breathing exercises which might take your mind off it.
    3. Sometimes they are caused by a kind of psychosis and you might need to go and talk to a doctor or physician about it.

I had an experience like this before because,I do not belive in myself and I thought very small of myself. Most of the time I am scare to speak in public and I am shaking like a sick dog.Every time I have to make my speech I had to practice day and night, still I had nightmare.Until I found my husband who always think of me like his hero, and his kind words such as you are wonderful and I am proud of you. These words change my life and I become another person
who is not afraid to fight and protect others.I also use yoga to releive my anxiety attack and it seem to work.I never mention to my doctor because, I do not want any pills in my healthy body.( take time to heal your anxiety attacks and there are so many people like you and me in this world and try to get help from your doctor as soon as possible.)

can’t have a reaction without an action. what are u thinking about first before u have an attack. gotta be something you can’t control or you are scared of. when you identify what the problem is (and you react by a ‘panic attack) you will find a way to cope and move on. Until you find out what you are scared of, you won’t be able to stop the attacks.so what are you worried about? write down 3 things that drive you crazy. just write don’t even think about it. when you see your list you will be surprised. i care. tell me what you are scared of. Peace be with you…
