how long does it take for anxiety medication to kick in(for panic attacks) after first use?

    usually 30-45 minutes for many anti-anxiety meds, but you didn’t give details of what drug you are taking. Some are different and may take a couple weeks like paxil and like I said above for something like xanax.

    It depends on what you are taking. If you are taking Xanax you can let it dissolve under your tongue and it will start taking effect in a few minutes.

    It depends what the meds are… are they benzos, antidepressants (zoloft, prozac exffexor, etc)…
    If they are antidepressants, it usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks.
    There are other meds that act instantly, bu they just calm you down.
