Anxiety and Panic Attacks

I have an anxiety disorder, I’m always so nervous and I find myself crying through out my panic attacks because I’m scared, But this is usually in public, and I’m tired of it all.

My question is, If I told my regular doctor about it, would he prescribe the medication (antidepressants) to me?
or would he have to refer me to a psychiatrist first?

I don’t want to talk to a psychiatrist, I feel very uncomfortable about it.

I have clinical depression ,Anxiety , panic attacks & . Iv been to my doctor who had refered me to mental health and I have only got two options

One of the options are to take medication or i can be refered for psychological therapy.
When you have anxiety and panic you also have anxiety about starting medication i worry incase i have a adverse reaction and no matter how much they have talked to me about this i still fear taking medication.

If i have to go for psychological therapy or if they cant cure me then what do i do?.

I worry when i go out incase i need the bathroom and if i cant get to one when i am out i panic. I cant even sit down in a cafe and have a drink without having anxiety.

Even whe i am at home it comes on for no reason at all.

I do not know what to do anymore i just want to stay at home forever until my days are numbered.

My doc put me on 50mg 2x a day of Lepressor and so far all i feel is so D A M N HOTTTTT!!! I am having hot flashes so bad i feel like i could jump in a cold bathtub, is this normal???? I am standing right in front of an air conditioner and i am still hot! Please someone help and let me know whatever you can tell me about this medication. Thanks!!

I can’t take any benzos because I am currently a resident at a rehab for going through 8-10 bars a day average and maxing out around 20 a day towards the end. Ever since I have gotten clean (116 days ago) my anxiety has gone from just an anxiety disorder to just having about 3 panic attacks a day at least. They range from mild panic episodes to major, full blown, panic attacks where my joints lock up and I feel like I am going to die. I have been off of my with drawl medication for about 70 days now and I feel like I am insane, is there anything I can take that isn’t a controlled substance?

I tend to get anxiety attacks…more so now that I am pregnant. Anyone have any idea how to help this problem?
