I plan on flying to Puerto Rico during Thanksgiving. Haven’t flown for 10yrs. and definitely not after 9-11. I will be w/ my daughter who’s 5yrs. old who’s never flown before and I’m afraid I’ll get an anxiety attack when where up in the air. I have made an appt. w/ my Dr. already to see what he can give me to help me. I want to make sure, what can I take that’ll definitely have me “undercontol”. I’m very afraid.

I am 52 and I have been taking anxiety meds since I was 25. I won’t take long trips because of it. Attacks make my stomach upset to the point I have the runs and it is hard to go to the bathroom on the road. So I end up worrying before I even leave the house and most of the time I end up staying home. I just can’t get to the point where I can control the attacks. Am I hopeless?

I get really bad panic attacks, like when driving or going to class and I can’t control them. it’s really getting to be bothersome and is very stressful.
I keep hearing that controling your breathing is helpful. But when I get an attack, I can’t breathe. Already I have fainted in class because I couldn’t breathe and I got lightheaded.
